About Tape and Sound Roll Metadata
Avid video editing applications and field recorders use Tape to represent different kinds of metadata: Avid uses Tape to store the telecine videotape name, while a BWF file with a BEXT chunk or iXML chunk uses Tape to store the name of the sound roll.
To avoid this overlap, Pro Tools preserves Tape metadata from the Avid video editing application and maintains the Sound Roll and Tape metadata from BWF audio files in their respective metadata fields.
